I just signed up for Dipity a new social media tool that displays all social media actions done by you and your friends on a scale that represents time. The tool essentially aggregates feed from all your social media accounts like blogs, twitter, Friendfeed, YouTube, Flickr, etc. You can go to Dipity site to view complete list of supported platforms. It offers a new visual way of looking at all the feeds you would see on a standard RSS reader.  You can even grab it as a widget and drop it on your website or blog. It also enables you to provide keywords that you like it to monitor and display activity on. If you would like to view the original post then you can click on the respective flags of activity. It’s probably a great way to view your social media archive. Imagine after ten years if I wanted to go back in date and time to particular activity you can just scroll by to it. It’s almost like the motion picture version of your social media life.

    Hello Jamshed-
Timelines and life history recording are becoming quite popular. I like your description – “a motion picture version of your social media life.” That captures it quite well. Our company, LifeSnapz, enables people to capture, share and explore life events with photos, videos, timelines and maps.
